With HRSA now in its eleventh year of conducting audits of 340B providers, covered entities are interested in continual audit readiness. Audits tend to go more smoothly when entities submit their information in an orderly way, anticipate key questions, and have documentation that supports their program's compliance and oversight activities. The first part of this workshop will focus on why 340B audit readiness is important and how to prepare for your next audit. Speakers in this session will identify key audit data elements and information covered entities provide to HRSA in advance of the audit visit. There will also be a discussion of recent trends in audit findings.
Learning Objectives:
- Describe why every covered entity should be ready for a 340B audit
- List the compliance requirements included in the 340B statute
- Discuss how to respond to HRSA's data request
- List at least 5 important data elements or information HRSA requires before the 340B audit visit
